Remove the leaves from the garland and cut them into various lengths.
Step 5 (Optional)
Start gluing the leaves around the dress form, starting with the longest leaves and then moving onto the shorter ones. Continue until you have a full tree.
Once all the leaves are glued on the dress form, wrap the ribbon around the waist so that the spots where the leaves were glued aren't visible.
Step 4 (Optional)
Create you necklace design to place on the dress form. Generally, string worked best to tie around the neckline.

I was recently shopping in T.J. Maxx the other day, when I saw the strangest thing: a dress form, with a Christmas Tree skirt. Of course, I had to have it for my collection of fashion inspired art pieces, but when I saw the $300 price tag, I wasn't so sure.
I also considered the size. It wasn't something I would want to keep up all year long, so storing it would be a pain. That's when I decided that I should make my own mini version! It would be cheaper and easier to store, and, it turns out it doesn't take more than 30 minutes to make! Keep reading to learn how to do this easy DIY.
